Innovations in Training – ADAMS at the Air Force’s A2 Symposium

Innovation in Training: On November 19 and 20, 2024, ADAMS Simulation and Training participated in the symposium organized by Department A2 of the German Air Force Command in Cologne. This annual event is regarded as a key driver of innovation for the future of military training —and this year, the focus was particularly on digitalization and network-enabled training resources.

Virtual networking as the standard of the future

During the conference, we presented our latest mixed reality (MR)and virtual reality (VR) task trainers. We placed particular emphasis on the ability to operate these systems in a networked, cross-location environment. For example, we demonstrated an open home-office network that connected training data and simulation content in real time from Lake Constance to Cologne and on to the North Sea.

This approach clearly demonstrates that future-proof training is no longer location-dependent, but rather modular, flexible, and scalable.

Diversity in Simulation – Realistic and Mission-Oriented

Our live demos generated a lot of interest—especially because of their wide range of applications:

• Eurofighter Cockpit Simulations
• Training environments for AWACS controllers
• Simulations for Air Traffic Controllers
• and scenarios for JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller)

This diversity makes it possible to create interdisciplinary training environments that support both individual roles and networked team training —a real added value for complex operational scenarios.

Practical. Digital. Forward-looking.

The feedback from conference attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Numerous conversations held at the event revealed that there is a strong demand for innovative, flexible, and digital training approaches—and that solutions like those offered by ADAMS are already ready for implementation today.
