AIRPOWER24 Day 3: Since September 6, 2024, Zeltweg in Styria has been all about aviation—and right in the middle of it all: ADAMS Simulation and Training (ASaT) with the Eurofighter Mixed Reality Simulator. After just the first two days, it’s already clear: AIRPOWER24 was a complete success for us.

Large crowds and enthusiasm for the Eurofighter

On the very first day, tens of thousands of visitors flocked to Hinterstoisser Air Base. The rush continued unabated on the second day as well. Families, tech enthusiasts, veterans, young people, and aviation experts—they all wanted to take a seat in the cockpit of a Eurofighter.

Our booth was swamped with people from the very start. The lines in front of the simulator were long, but visitors’ patience was rewarded with a realistic, immersive flight experience. The Mixed Reality Eurofighter Simulator allowed participants to experience firsthand the dynamics and complexity of a modern fighter jet—a highlight for many that will stay with them for a long time.

Anyone who stopped by our booth could do more than just watch— they could test for themselves whether they had what it takes to be a Eurofighter pilot. Our crew was on hand to explain the system, answer questions, and offer tips. The reaction? Euphoric! Many visitors even came back a second time to improve their scores or simply climb back into the cockpit.
