Expertise for firearms instructors – Firearms school relies on ADAMS

For the first time, ADAMS is providing direct support for the Eurofighter Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) 2025

Since June 1, 2025, ADAMS has been supporting the Air Force Weapons School! As part of the approximately six-month Weapons Instructor Course (WIC), we are making our highly qualified personnel directly available to the Air Force for the first time.
Here, where the Air Force’s top personnel are trained to the highest standards in tactics, weapons employment, and operational procedures for Air Force systems to become operational weapons instructors, the Air Force relies on ADAMS.

What is the Weapon Instructor Course (WIC)?

The Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) is one of the most demanding and prestigious training programs in the Air Force. It is conducted at the Air Force Weapons School in Laage, which is subordinate to the Air Force Troop Command. The goal is to train selected pilots and operations officers to become highly qualified weapons instructors.

In an intensive course, participants gain in-depth knowledge of tactics, operational procedures, and threat scenarios in modern air combat. The focus is not only on technical expertise and tactical understanding, but also on the ability to pass this knowledge on to other soldiers as a multiplier.
The Weapons School itself serves as a center of excellence for mission-oriented training of flying units.

Support for Student Papers

We assist future weapons instructors in preparing the required written seminar papers—known as “student papers”—which are subject to strict standards. These papers may cover in-depth, structured analyses of tactics and operational procedures, as well as detailed technical knowledge of the specific weapons system and its armament. The student papers are subsequently made available to the troops for training and professional development.

Firsthand expertise

As a former pilot, weapons instructor, and head of the Tornado Weapons School at Holloman, our ADAMS expert is intimately familiar with the high standards and challenges associated with student papers. As a mentor, he brings his unique expertise to bear in all phases of the process—from concept development to quality assurance. Here, too, ADAMS makes another valuable, directly tangible contribution to training Air Force personnel at the highest level.
The Air Force can rely on ADAMS: ADAMS Support—a concept with a future!
