We congratulate our partner Metrea on having the fifth-largest tanker fleet in the world. Metrea operates an impressive fleet of tanker aircraft. This includes 15 Boeing KC-135 Stratotankers, including four aircraft acquired from the Republic of Singapore in 2019, as well as eleven others acquired from the French Air and Space Forces in June 2024.

Metrea, formerly known as Meta Aerospace, is a U.S. military contractor headquartered in Washington, D.C. The company offers a wide range of services, including air logistics, surveillance, and electronic and cyber warfare. Its clients include the U.S. military, Canada, NATO, and other allied nations.

One of Metrea's standout products is the NOR platform, a state-of-the-art flight simulation software used by ADAMS and others. This platform uses Unreal Engine 5, a leading technology from the gaming industry, to enable immersive and physics-based simulations. The NOR platform covers all domains and focuses on networked tactical training. It offers flexible solutions ranging from use with virtual reality headsets to mixed reality simulators and full-scale physical simulators.

One notable project is the collaboration between Metrea Simulations and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) as part of the Virtual Training for Air Dominance (VTRAD) program. The NOR platform was selected to provide cost-effective and scalable training for U.S. Air Force fighter pilots. As part of this program, Metrea Simulations developed highly accurate virtual models of the T-38C and F-16, which are used in a synthetic training environment. ​
