Joint Air Defense Exercise
ONE CONNECTED TACTICAL ENVIRONMENT
This simulated Joint Air Defense Exercise demonstrates the capabilities of the ADAMS Tactical Operation Center (ATOC) to coordinate complex, multi-platform tactical operations within a shared training environment.
The scenario integrates:
2 Eurofighter Typhoons – Quick Reaction Alert / Air Interception
1 Airbus A400M – Air-to-Air Refueling
2 German Army Helicopters – Identification & Intervention
1 German Navy NH90 – Unidentified Aircraft
Ground Controlled Interception (GCI)
Air Traffic Control (Tower)
Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
Six aircraft. Multiple operational roles. One coordinated mission.
The exercise brings together a versatile range of ADAMS Simulation and Training Devices, including the Eurofighter Typhoon Demonstrator in different configurations – UMTT, MTT and LTT – alongside dedicated GCI and Tower Stations.
By combining conventional simulation devices with immersive Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies powered by Varjo, ADAMS creates flexible, interconnected training environments tailored to specific operational requirements.
All simulation devices and configurations can be adapted to individual customer needs, enabling scalable training solutions across different platforms, roles and levels of complexity.
From initial detection and tactical interception to visual identification, intervention and recovery, the entire scenario demonstrates how complex joint missions can be conducted in a connected simulation environment.
